The regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education was held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Room 205 of the MS/HS Complex.
Present at the meeting, and introduced by MS/HS Principal, Dr. Robert Falkenstein, were Tyler Stimmel and Danny Crouse who have completed their Eagle Scout Projects. Tyler has constructed benches and other adornments for the sports building, and Danny an elevated platform for the band to use at our practice field. Congratulations to both Eagle Scout Candidates.
After administrative reports, which can be read elsewhere in this publication, the Board moved to regular agenda items.
The election for the office of Board Vice President was completed with current Vice President, Russell Bretz being re-elected by a 3-2 vote.
Superintendent’s Recommendations:
Approved a maternity leave of absence for Beth Krais beginning approximately April 4th through the end of the school year using her accumulated sick leave, personal leave and unpaid leave under the Family Leave Act as needed.
Approved a supplemental Homebound contract to Sarah Bugner at the rate of $20 per hour for the 2015-16 school year on an as needed basis.
Approved the following supplemental contracts for 2015-16 year at the appropriate step:

Approved a retro-active agreement with NOACSC for Internet Voice Over for four years beginning July 1, 2015 with first half of the year invoiced for $2,376.
Approved a retro-active agreement with Wadsworth Service for the HVAC Maintenance to July 1 2015 for the 2015-16 school year as follows:

Powell _ $6.891
Approved an agreement with the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board for Visually Impaired Services as needed for the 2016-17 school year.
Approved an agreement with the Wood County Educational Service Center for the 2016-17 school year for additional Specialized Services.
Approved payment to the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West for the Resident Educator Consortium for 2015-16 school year at a cost of $800 for 15 resident educator participants.
Approved an agreement with the Wood County Educational Service Center for the 2016-17 school year for Specialized Services for a Gifted Teacher.
No committee reports were given.
The Board adjourned the regular meeting at 6:43pm and moved to executive session. No action was taken.
The next regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 6:00 pm in the MS/HS Complex.
