1) Income tax collections 2016 vs. 2015 as of 8/31/2016:
2) The Bill List from 7/30/2016 – 9/2/2016 is included for council review and approval on the claims ordinance.
3) August Great Lakes collections and the August Fund Report will be distributed at next week’s COTW
4) Collections to Note:
a. Henry Twp – 2nd half of fire protection services: $17,341.72
b. Time Warner Cable – 2nd Quarter Franchise Fees: $4,710.83
c. Keystone Foods – Donation to EMS: $1,485.75
5) The 2017 budget is being drafted. I will have a rough draft ready for review within the next couple of weeks.
6) Working on updating the Village property/liability insurance, as well as the Village health insurance to start receiving quotes for 2017.
FIRST READINGS
a. Appropriation Ordinance: Adding $444.52 to the EMS budget. The EMS was awarded a Dept. of Public Safety Grant. This was a reimbursement for supplies that were purchased. This ordinance is in the same amount as the grant.
b. Appropriation Ordinance: Adding $1,485.75 to the EMS budget. The EMS Dept. received a donation from Keystone Foods here in North Baltimore. This donation will be used to purchase various office supplies for the department. This ordinance is in the same amount as the donation.
SECOND READINGS
c. Appropriation Ordinance 2016-30: Adding 18,500.00 to the storm water budget. This is to support the upcoming slip lining work to be performed. This will bring the Storm water contractual services line item up to 32,000.00 for slip lining services.
d. Appropriation Ordinance 2016-31: Adding $138.02 to the Fire Dept. Budget. The fire Dept. was awarded a Dept. of Public Safety grant in the amount of $138.02. This appropriation is in the same amount.
THIRD READINGS
e. Appropriation Ordinance 2016-27: Adding $6,363.93 to the EMS Budget. The EMS dept. was awarded a grant from the Ohio Dept of Pub Safety. This was a reimbursement for supplies that were ordered. This ordinance is in the same amount as the grant.
f. Special Assessment Ordinance 2016-26: Certifying high grass mowing to the Wood County Auditor for tax assessment and collection in 2017. I have also included additional information regarding this ordinance in each of your boxes. Updated on 9/2/2016
