At North Baltimore Powell Elementary School, Mrs. Jacob’s reading group presented the play Arthur’s Christmas by Marc Brown.

NB House Decorating contest results

The 2014 North Baltimore House Decorating Contest was judged Dec. 14th. NB Garden Club were members were the judges of the house decorations. We hope residents can take a leisurely drive around town and look at all the wonderful light displays.

Special Mention goes to the following people: Miller, 2547 N. Baltimore Road (outside the village limits); Wolfe, 134 South Main; Van Mooy, 829 E Quarry Road for their incredible displays. As past winners, they are not eligible this year for a prize.

One of the purposes of the decorating contest is to encourage residents to brighten up the village during the holiday season by decorating their houses.

Dr. Wolfe’s house deserves a special ‘hors categorie’ award, as his house is as beautiful during the day with the decorated wreaths and shutters as it is at night when the lights on all his trees are lit.

Cloyd “Fred” Hopple, 59, of Findlay, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
