Scout It Out!

This is the first year to welcome the brand new Lion Cubs, which will be this year’s kindergarten class.

Submitted by Jennifer Vanlerberg

Thursday, September 14th. The time is 7:00 PM. The place is Powell Elementary. Lions, Tigers, and Bears! Yes, they will all be there. This Thursday is the sign up date for Cub Scouts this year.

This is the first year to welcome the brand new Lion Cubs, which will be this year’s kindergarten class.

Scouts are welcome to join at any level, and Scout leaders will be there to sign up or provide more information for interested families.

As a “scout mom” myself, I can say first hand that the Scouts do some pretty amazing things! There is a summer pool party, multiple parades, camp outs, (even overnights!), service projects, and of course, the Pinewood Derby race in February. My boys have learned valuable life skills like tying knots, first aid, knife safety, pet care, fitness, and how to help and care for others and their community.

Questions? Feel free to stop by on Thursday at Powell or call Eric Trout, Cub Master, at (419) 262-3967 or email at eltrout75@gmail.com.
