2nd Quarter too Much for NB to Overcome

The North Baltimore High School Boys hosted Cory-Rawson in a Blanchard Valley Conference game on Friday night. It was also the annual Hall of Fame Induction game.

The Tigers opened up a quick 5 – 0 lead before the Hornets got serious and out-scored the home team 35 – 16, for the remainder of the first half, taking a 35 – 21 lead.

NB came out with better defense in the third quarter, but offensive output was still lacking, cutting the lead by 4 points, to 45 – 35.

The Tigers put together a furious offensive outburst in the final quarter of 28 points, that saw the Tigers have a shot to tie the game at the final buzzer, fall short – final score C – R 66 – NB 63.

Chase Naugle led NB with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Levi Gazarek added 13 points. Julian Hagemyer had 12 points and 7 assists. Noah Brian hit 9 points, with 4 steals. Adam Flores scored 4, Brady Rader 3 and Noah Cotterman 2 points.

The Hornets won the JV game 35 – 16.

NB travels to Northwood tonight for a non-league game with the Rangers, JV tip-off at 6:00.
