The Varsity Boys and Girls ran at the District meet at Owens this past Saturday.
The girls finished 11th out of 18 teams, running their best top five average of the season 24:25, a 25 second improvement over the week before at the BVC championships.
The Tigers were led by Lydia Hartman’s career record of 22:10, finishing 30th overall and passing nearly 10 girls in the last mile, she has the 9th fastest time in NB History. Christina Schlak finished 45th with a career best of 22:44, placing her on the top 20 list of all time at 18th. Alivia Delancy finished 56th overall with a career best of 23:27, which is the 24th best time on the all time list.
Sydnee Smith had a great come back race from a week ago with a 65th place finishing with a 24:15. Sydnee graduates with the 15th fastest time from her sophomore year. Lucy Trout rounded out the top five for the girls with a PR of 29:26, helping the tigers to the 11th place finish by passing 5 girls in the last 2 miles.
The Boys finished 13th out of 18 teams, running a consistent top five average of 20:49.
The Tigers were led by Levi Trout and Wyatt Mowery. Levi ran a 18:24 with a 31st finish in the race, early this year Levi ran a 17:48, which tied him for the 12th fastest time in NB history. Wyatt Mowery finished in 74th place with a time of 20:17. Wyatt graduates with the 25th fastest time in NB history with an 18:32.
The Junior’s took the next three spots for the Tigers as Gabe Gazarek ran a 20:42, finishing 81st. Jordan Kimmel finished in the 89th spot with a 21:35 and Alex Trout ran a career record of 23:08 with a 98 th place finish. Sophomore, Darrian Zitzelberger finished in the tiebreaker spot with a 24:24, finishing in 101st place.
The Tigers will officially wrap up the season with Awards, which will be held on October 29th at 7:00PM in the high school Auditerium.
