Over 20 community organizations are collaborating to provide earth friendly activities and events throughout the month of April in celebration of Earth Day. Activities include stream cleanups; storm drain stenciling; a rain garden workshop; informational seminars; an Eco Fair; invasive species removal and more.
The culmination of all the events will be the Community Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 26 from 2-4pm at The Montessori School of Bowling Green, which will feature hands-on environmental learning activities, a children’s story time from the Wood County District Public Library, art activities, science experiments, raffles for door prizes and much more. The event is free and everyone is welcome!
The goal of Earth Day is to increase appreciation of the earth’s environment and raise awareness of the issues that threaten it. Agencies from throughout Wood County are preparing to make a significant impact in our environment with your help.
