Have you ever wondered what students do at North Baltimore STARS?
STARS is having an Open House at its new location at the south end of Powell Elementary on Thursday, November 6, during North Baltimore Schools Parent/Teacher Conferences for students and their families to discover what STARS offers.
The Open House will feature a typical day at STARS along with a make-and-take craft for families to construct together.
As an integral component of Powell Elementary School for 15 years, STARS offers a wide variety of after-school programming to meet the academic, social, and physical needs of students.
The curriculum focuses on homework assistance, hands-on learning, and a proactive social interaction element called Positive Action.
School year STARS is open from 2:30PM through 6:00PM, Monday through Friday and is offered to all Kindergarten through sixth grade students.
Partial scholarships are available to reduce cost to families.
