Alan E. McCartney, Sr. 70

Alan E. McCartney, Sr., 70, of North Baltimore, passed away at 8:00pm on
Thursday, October 3, 2019, at the Tri Star Skyline Medical Center in
Nashville, TN. He was born on September 27, 1949, in Findlay to Joseph E.,
Sr. and Eva Jean (Campbell) McCartney. He married Sandra Nickols on
February 22, 1969, and she survives.



Alan is also survived by his mother, Eva Jean McCartney of North
Baltimore; his daughters: Lisa (Jeff) Csomos of Findlay, Kathy (Bryan)
Myers of Findlay, and Stacey McCartney of North Baltimore; his son, Alan
E. (Crystal) McCartney, Jr. of Rudolph; his brother, Joesph E. McCartney,
Jr. of NC; his sisters: Robin (Charles) Miller of Findlay, Sarah (Curray)
Sheaks of NC, and Terry McCartney of NC; his grandchildren: Cassandra
(Tyler) Heckman, Joseph (Amanda) Hiler, Tabitha (Bobby) Young, Ryan
(Nikieda) Russell, Thomas (Hannah) Russell Jr., Christopher (Breanna)
Russell, Anthony Shrewsbury, Alan E. McCartney III, Leahla McCartney,
Cooper Brunnet, Marina (Ray) Vaught, Alissa Vestal, Heaven (Gavin) Varela,
Troy Csomos, and Ethan Myers; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces andnephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. McCartney, Sr.

Alan was a 1967 graduate of McComb High School. He was a U.S. Army
Veteran, having served our country during the Vietnam War. He was a
carpenter by trade and had retired from Kingsman Inc. after 20 years. Alan
loved fishing, hunting, camping, and motorcycles. He will forever be
remembered for his great sense of humor and ability to joke. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday October 11, 2019, at
SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will be in Rudolph Cemetery, Liberty Township. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 10 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
