Allen L. Smith, 92, of North Baltimore, died at 8:10 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2015, at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born on June23, 1923, in Jerry City to the late Allen B. and Anna (Snyder) Smith.
He married Dorothy Irene Mathias in June of 1945, and she preceded him in death on December 30, 1994.
Allen is survived by his sons: Floyd James Smith and James Leroy (Sara) Smith, both of North Baltimore; his sisters: Viola Smith of Hammansburg and Margaret Fosnaugh of Deshler; 6 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Smith.
Allen retired as a Millwright from Minnel Milling in Fostoria.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 2 hours (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) prior to the service at the funeral home.
