North Baltimore Councilman Matt Archer resigned from NB Village Council at tonight’s regular council meeting, effective immediately.
Mayor Janet Goldner read a letter from Archer, which said he regretted the need to resign, but he has taken a job in Columbus, Ohio and will not be in town to fully complete the duties of council. Archer will be a project manager for Fischer Homes, a large scale residential development home builder located throughout the Eastern US. Council regrettably accepted his resignation and thanked Archer for his service.
Archer was elected as a write-in candidate in November, of 2015. He begin serving on council in January, 2016.
Mayor Goldner will be accepting letters of interest, at the Village Office, to fill the remaining term of Archer’s seat, through 2019.
The deadline to apply is May 31, according to Goldner.

Maybe council cans find a legitimate business person to fill the spot.
