March 13, 2017, Rossford, OH– Avid walleye anglers are invited to enjoy great fishing while competing for money and prizes at the upcoming Bass Pro Shops
Rossford Walleye Roundup and Festival, the newest tournament to hit the Maumee River and Lake Erie. The two-day tournament, scheduled for April 1-2, 2017, will be held at Bass Pro Shops and the Rossford marina. The event is being planned by the City of Rossford, the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau and Bass Pro Shops, the presenting sponsor.
The tournament is open to all 2-person teams. The registration fee is $500 per team. Prize payouts are based on the number of entries with a guaranteed 100 percent payout of registration.
Those who register by March 24th will receive a $100 cash rebate at check-in, sponsored by the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau. Special hotel packages beginning at $79 per night are available for tournament competitors.
“We encourage fishermen to bring their families and enjoy a weekend of great walleye action, as well as the festival at Bass Pro Shop,” said Beth Genson, Director of the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The festival will feature outdoor recreation-related displays, kids’ activities including a fishing derby, food trucks, music and more throughout the weekend. It will take place at Bass Pro Shops on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the general public.
