Betty Jean VanDenEynde, 87, NB

Betty Jean VanDenEynde, 87, of North Baltimore and formerly of Findlay passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Heritage in Findlay.

Betty was born on March 7, 1927, to the late John Franklin and Sarah Matilda (Girard) Coldwell in North Baltimore. She married Charles S. Hummel on May 1, 1943, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1944. She later married Emil M. VanDenEynde on June 19, 1946, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1995.

Betty is survived by her sons: Steve (Liz) VanDenEynde of North Baltimore and John (Brenda) VanDenEynde of Findlay; daughter, Marcia Mills of North Baltimore; stepdaughter, Jeanette (Jack) Kessler of Detroit, MI; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Regina “Jean”) VanDenEynde, Sr.; son-in-law, Larry Mills; brothers: Roy, Estel, Jessie (Jack), and Ira Coldwell; and sisters: Eva Reeves, Ruth May Coldwell, Opal Wymer, and Maxine.

Betty was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Hill Church of God in McComb. She was also a member of the Eagles #2633 in North Baltimore and a life member of the D.A.V. in Findlay. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Visitation was on Friday, December 26, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where funeral services were heldĀ on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Pastor Mike VanDenEynde, Jr. officiated and burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

  1. This is my Maternal Great-Grandmother, Along with the rest of the family, I will miss this woman dearly. Rest easy in heaven Gramma.
