Betty Lou Dean, 82

Betty Lou Dean was born to Clarence H. and Eva Lois (Tousley) Huber on March 2, 1932 at the home of her grandparents, Roy and Carrie Tousley. She grew up in Columbus Grove, Ohio and graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1950.

Betty Lou met the love of her life, James Dean, at Indian Lake in the summer of 1951. They were married on December 31st, 1951 at the Little Chapel in Angola, Indiana and shared almost 63 years of happiness.

During her life, Betty Lou worked as a secretary and dental assistant, but most of all, enjoyed traveling with Jim to school and Gleaner activities, serving as a Gleaner chaplain and witnessing to others about her love for the Lord. She was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Dean, children, Jaimye (David) Bushey and Jeffrey (Jill) Dean. Grandchildren include Amanda (Dan) Jacobs, Jason (Diana) Bushey, Parker Bushey, Joshua (Leigh) Dean, Jenalee and Jordan Dean, and great-grandchildren, Paige, Jameson and Cassadie Jacobs and Lily and Allie Bushey.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Pastors Bob Neuhard and Dutch VanderVlucht will officiate and burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
