CELEBRATING 48 YEARS…..
The 48th Carey Ecumenical Christmas Concert is scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, 315 Clay Street in Carey. The choir is co-directed by Jack Gerding and Patricia Murphy, and the accompanists for the choir are Joy Orians and Ruth Coldwell. Kate O’Reilly serves the choir as the secretary and rehearsal assistant.
This year’s choir is made up of 85 singers from 18 cities throughout northwest and central Ohio. Music for this year’s concert includes traditional melodies along with newly composed contemporary works based on traditional hymn texts. The Epworth Brass from Marion, along with the piano and the majestic organ of the Basilica, will join with the chorus to fill the church with the sounds of Christmas. A free-will offering will be collected during the concert to support the on-going ministry of the choir. The Shrine Cafeteria will be open for dinner immediately following the concert and the Shrine Gift Shop will also be open.
Come and prepare yourself for Christ’s birth as you listen to the sacred music of Advent and Christmas in the stunning acoustics and majesty of this historic Basilica and Shrine.
FREE concert SUNDAY by awesome TSO tribute band….
Christ’s Church in Bowling Green, 14455 Campbell Hill Road, is hosting a FREE concert featuring “Siberian Solstice” on Sunday, November 24th at 7:00pm. They are a Trans Siberian Orchestra tribute band. The show begins at 7:00pm.
“SIBERIAN SOLSTICE”is a musical group from northwest Ohio providing an exciting contemporary set of Christmas music as originally performed by the nationally acclaimed group “TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA” (TSO).
The music format of traditional Christmas music and other classical pieces with electronic keyboards, drums, and guitars is enjoyed by all age groups. “SIBERIAN SOLSTICE” has eight members on stage to accurately reproduce the TSO style and will perform approximately 90 minutes

Alumni and community members are invited to play along with the pep band before and during the game on December 13….

Since our fall halftime show was rained out, North Baltimore Band alumni and community members are invited to play along with the pep band before and during the game on December 13. Music will be provided. Also on December 13, the Band will unveil its Golden Megaphone Finalist Banner from the 2018-2019 school year. Alumni wishing to participate and gain free admission MUST email Ben Pack ([email protected]) by December 12 to register. On the night of the game, please sign in on the music stand outside the ticket booth.
NBHS Concert in the gym at 7:00pm……..
You are all invited to attend the annual North Baltimore Marching Band Sounds of the Stadium concert on Wednesday, October 23 at 7pm in the high school gym.
The band will perform all of its music from the 2019 season and students will receive awards voted on by their peers. The concert is free and open to the public.

Area singers are invited to join the Carey Ecumenical Christmas Choir as preparations begin for this year’s concert to be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, 315 Clay Street in Carey. This year will mark the choir’s 48th year of presenting this musical program at this historic shrine and promises to be a highlight of your Christmas Season.
The rehearsals will be held at Christ Lutheran Church – 116 W. Findlay Street in Carey. The first rehearsal is on Tuesday, October 15, and the second is on Thursday, October 24. All rehearsals will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last approximately two hours. Rehearsals rotate between Thursdays and Tuesdays until the date of the concert.

For your safety, please stay in your seats during halftime as the lights will be shut off for the North Baltimore Band performance.
A week full of activities Oct. 7 – 12!
The North Baltimore Homecoming will take place from October 7th through October 11th this year. The theme for the 2019 Fall Homecoming is TV Shows.
Spirit days will start on Monday, October 7th with Pajama Day. On Tuesday, students and staff will dress up in fraternity and sorority clothing. For Wednesday, NB will kick back and relax with beach day attire. On Thursday, they are asked to dress to represent their class tv show. Then as usual, the week will end with Tiger Spirit Day on Friday as the school shows their spirit in hopes that the Tigers defeat McComb.
Also during this week each class, 7th through 12th grade, will participate in The Battle of the Classes by doing different activities such as: auditeria and float decorating, tug-o-war, lip sync, and more.
The powder puff game will take place on Wednesday, October 9th at 7 p.m. at the football field. The mudslide will immediately follow. Classes are encouraged to come and lead their cheers at the mudslide as part of the Battle of the Classes.
Parade lineup will be Friday, October 11th at 4:45 in front of Powell, with stepoff at 5:30. Come out and support your NB Tigers and court!
The Homecoming dance will be held on October 12th at 7 p.m. in the auditeria until 10:30 p.m.
