A portion of one of the communities most noticeable eyesores is finally gone! Imagine your first impression of North Baltimore, Ohio when you enter the town of 3,500 on SR 18 from I – 75, and this is what greets you…
Due, in part, to the efforts of the North Baltimore Area Chamber of Commerce, Bill Cameron President, there has been progress with cleaning up the old Denny’s – LK restaurant and the former Perry’s Pantry gas station site on the east side of town. The old Crown Inn motel has now been boarded up and secured, with hope of razing this building as well!
Both of the businesses went out several years ago and have been a mess ever since. Some recent changes in ownership have facilitated the cleaning up of the properties.
While there are no immediate plans for new businesses or development, the first step to any positive progress is the cleaning up of the messes.
These properties are actually located in Henry Township and are not currently served by utilities (water and sewer) from the Village of North Baltimore. These utilities are located in relative proximity and tying-in to them, will certainly be part of future development.
