BOWLING GREEN, OH- With the recent legalization of Medical Marijuana in Ohio, there have been many questions and concerns arising through the community. It is evident that there is a need to address the potential harmful effects of the legalization of Medical Marijuana.
The Wood County Prevention Coalition has invited Dr. Ted Bowlus to come and speak at the February 17, 2017 Coalition Meeting
Dr. Bowlus will speak at the meeting and will focus on the topics of marijuana as medicine, the impact of legalization, and the unintended consequences of legalization from a medical perspective. Acquiring medical knowledge from a medical professional will help aid the process of prevention.
We are honored to have Dr. Bowlus speak at the Wood County Prevention Coalition meeting. Dr. Bowlus holds the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. His postgraduate education includes a Master’s Degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Neuroscience and Anatomy with research in neuroplasticity that has been published. Further medical training consisted of an internship at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Richmond Virginia, and completed a medical and surgical residency at Hatzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Bowlus is an adjunct Professor of Neuroscience in graduate school at the University of Findlay, and is currently serving his first term as Wood County Commissioner.
