WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has announced the hiring of David Wirt to serve in the role of District Director. Wirt is a native of North Baltimore and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the military following a 30-year career, he has lived in Bowling Green for the past 11 years with his wife, Jill.
“David is a welcome addition to the district office, and his extensive ties to Northwest and West Central Ohio will be advantageous in serving constituents of the Fifth Congressional District,” said Latta. “David has served on my office’s military academy advisory board and in a number of civic groups in the area, and he has a deep understanding of the needs in the region. Constituent services have been a top priority of mine as a Member of Congress, and David’s leadership will help ensure we’re continuing to meet the needs of Ohioans in the district.”
Wirt has already started in the District Director role out of the Bowling Green office and will oversee operations in the Defiance and Findlay offices as well. He previously served on the Congressman’s military academy advisory board and the veterans advisory board. The position was vacant after District Director Andy Lorenz accepted a position with the Regional Growth Partnership.
