Cub Scout Pack 372 Happenings

Cub Scout Pack 372 Happenings

Submitted by Jennifer Vanlerberg

On January 22nd, at the North Baltimore American Legion, the cubs of Pack 372 once again held their “Bird House/Bird Feeder Auction.”

The event occurs every other year, and gives the boys an opportunity to create something special with mom, grandma, aunts, or any special lady in their life. The houses are then judged and auctioned off to friends and family, as a fundraiser for the “Blue and Gold Ceremony” and spring camp. This year’s event brought in $387.00! Once those houses started to go up, all the birds in Wood County began flocking to the 45872. Prime Real estate.

Here’s the list of winners for each of the categories:

Tallest-Ryder Walter

Smallest-Isaac Franks

Most Patriotic-Kohl Rood

Most Recycled-Joseph Rose

Most Colorful-Levi Vanlerberg

Held Together by a String-Zach Trout

Most Natural-Boden Lanham

Best NB Tiger Theme-Isaiah Hernandez

Best of Show-Mitchell Novak

Judge’s Choice-Aiden Williams

Who were these amazing guest judges? Elementary Principal, Mark Lange, Children’s Librarian, Ms. Cheryl, and Pastor Susan Kronbach donated their time and expertise to this event.

The boys were also given their prizes for a super popcorn sale this year, and top sellers were given the opportunity to put pies in their leaders’ faces. So much cream. Special thanks to Lindsay Ziegler for all of the great pictures from that evening.
