Darl E. “Blue” Wittenmyer, 67

Darl E. “Blue” Wittenmyer, 67 of North Baltimore died at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore.

He was born on August 31, 1948 in Findlay to the late Ralph H. and Maxine M. (Tefft) Wittenmyer.

Blue served his country proudly in U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed fishing and sports, especially Ohio State. Blue was also a member of the North Baltimore American Legion Post #539.

Surviving Blue are two daughters Erica and Christie. He is also survived by three brothers; Anthony (Patricia) Wittenmyer of Tiffin, Scott Wittenmyer of North Baltimore, James (Florence) Wittenmyer of Spencerville, Ohio, Ed (Brenda) Wittemnyer of Deshler and sisters Martha (Ed) Lindquist of North Baltimore and Marilyn Burger of Leipsic.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Justin Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the North Baltimore American Legion Post #539. Condolences can be made via www.smithcrates.com.
