Dawn Marie Harris, 50, of Findlay and formerly of Jerry City, passed away,Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born on April 18, 1968, in Fostoria to Douglas and Donna (Fugitt) Mitchem. She married Aaron Harris on May 24, 1991, and he survives.
Dawn is also survived by her mother and step-father, Donna and Dave Meeker of Findlay; her son, Adam Harris of Findlay; her daughter, Cheyenne (Kevin) Harris-McGough of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her brother, Jason (Amanda) Meeker of Great Falls, Montana; her sisters, Heather (J.R.) Rhoads of Findlay and Jennifer (Jeff) Fogle of Spokane, Washington; her nephew, Caleb Masters of Findlay; her sister-in-law, Amy (John Dippery) Harris of Bloomdale; her father-in-law, Arnold “Jim” Harris of Rudolph; and her beloved dog, Xoe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Mitchem and her mother-in-law, Sharon Harris.
Dawn was a 1986 graduate of Elmwood High School and she was a Clinical Care Coordinator for The Heritage in Findlay. She had a real zest for life and a never ending desire to help others. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633 in North Baltimore. She loved spending time at the beach and being around the water. She enjoyed antiquing, craft shows, crafting, drag racing, car shows, riding their Harley, camping, and spending time with friends and family, but her greatest love was her dog, Xoe.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Dan Maas officiating. Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
