Donna L. Sterling, 82 of Findlay passed away at 4:53 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Birchaven Village surrounded by her family.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 14, 1935 to the late Milton and Helen (O’Hara) Harris. She married Thomas “Butch” Sterling on December 30, 1978 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2016.
Surviving are four daughters, Tammy Montgomery (Warren Krout) of Findlay; Toni (Larry) Smith of Ottawa; Denise (Tom) Green and Dianne (Bruce) Fleckner, both of North Baltimore; one son, Steven (Nikki) Shearer of Bryan, TX; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Jim and Rick Andrus; three sisters, Betty Arras; Joy Rinehammer and Nancy Tennant; sister-in-law, Bonnie Routson along with several nieces and nephews, also survive.
A sister, Judy Morrison and three brothers, Nelson; Tom and Steve Harris also preceded her in death.
Donna worked as a secretary for Marathon Oil Company for many years and held memberships with the American Legion, VFW, DAV, North Baltimore Eagles and the Moose Lodge in Findlay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Linda Davison officiating. Burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Hancock County or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio.
