Community members from North Baltimore and Bluffton got together on October 4, to raise money for the Rayle Family. Here is a small photo gallery and the thank you letters from the event organizer and the family.
Thank you to Rhonda Kepling, Theresa Francisco, Lisa & Lacie Trumbull, and Gary Bretz for opening the concession stand for us and working that day to make sure everyone had warm drinks. There were so many volunteers that helped out the day of the event who we would like to recognize for putting in so many countless hours getting things ready for the big day. Darlene Suman assisted in getting the refs and game scheduled, along with working with the coaches to get the kids their chicken tickets. Lindsay Zeigler and Jen Fredritz were in charge of ordering all the t-shirts, sorting them and making sure they were delivered to all that had ordered. Jen & Roger Flanders, Anne Williams, Mindy Green and Amy Keegan blew up 200 balloons that were released during half time in memory of Drew.
Laura, Jason and Maddie Westgate along with Denise Meggit and Valerie Buchanan sold 50/50 tickets during the game. Danielle & Tim Engard and Tammy Murphy set up the raffle table and also collected all donations for the event. Ashley Flores worked the admission table during the event and collected all donations from all who attended. Mary Peterson and Lori Cotterman were in charge of the bake sale and collected all baked goods and worked the event selling the items. Thank you Scott Ferguson for volunteering to take pictures of the game so that Shawn and Charity have beautiful pictures of their special day. A special thank you to Aaron Bowers & Michelle Melendez for assisting with announcing the game that day. Erinn Prater, Shelley Johnson , Bill Cameron, Fran Weith, Will & Kelly McCartney, Teri Coup and Carla, Jim and Cade Carter worked the Chicken Dinner putting all the meals together and collecting all the tickets.
There were several donations given for the Bake Sale and the silent auction event which were very much appreciated. Thank you to the NB Midget Football Program and The Bluffton Midget Football program, coaches and refs who volunteered their time for this special event. Larsons BBQ provided pulled pork sand. during the game for all the people who did not get a chicken dinner due to it being sold out.
The Rayle Family was truly honored to have the State of Ohio along with the Village of North Baltimore recognize October 4th, 2014 as Drew Rayle and Epilepsy Awareness Day. I was truly honored to be part of this special day and to be part of a community that came together to help a family in their time of need. There are no words to express the gratitude the Rayle Family has for each and every person that contributed to making this event a success. The love and support not only helped them with funeral costs but also gave them love and support when they needed it the most. I am honored to be from this small community and appreciate all that helped me make this event possible.
Sincerely,
Heather Greeno & The Rayle Family
