Edward Hartigan, 92, of Cygnet, died at 8:57 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at the Heritage Corner Health Care Campus, Bowling Green. He was born on October 18, 1923, to the late Patrick and Kathleen (Sullivan) Hartigan. He married Carol Parisian on December 28, 1963, and she preceded him in death on August 3, 2002.
Ed is survived by his brothers-in-law: John (Barbara) Parisian of Mt.Dola, FL, Thomas Parisian of Findlay, Joseph (Sharon) Parisian of Bradenton, FL, Victor (Mary) Parisian of Houston, TX and Gregory (Lynn) Parisian of Bowling Green, OH; his sisters-in-law: Catherine Parisian of
Ironwood, MI and Rose Parisian of Florence, Italy.
Ed was the owner of Hartigan Electric in Cygnet and retired in 2000. He was also the owner of Cygnet Manor Mobile Home Court, having started that in 1973.
Ed was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran having served our country in both World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. He was also a member of the Cygnet Board of Public Affairs, and Shady Acres Golf Course in McComb, where he was
perennial Club Champion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore, with Father Arthur J. Niewiadomski Celebrant. Burial will be in Wood County Memory Gardens, Bowling Green, where full military rites will be conducted by the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
