The first ever Senior Easter “Egg-extravaganza,” co-sponsored by North Baltimore Senior Center and Westhaven Senior Apartments, is scheduled to be held this Saturday, March 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 514 West Water Street. The Egg Hunt will be held in the Senior Center and Westhaven Community Room.
There will be “special prize eggs,” as well as refreshments. Prize contributors include: N.B. Marathon, Crossroads Café, Great Scot Community Market, Ice Cream Shop, Sisters Junction, Dawn’s Flowers, LO8 Salon, Virginia Theater, Unique Antiques, Bubbles Pet Salon, Subway and others. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Briar Hill Health Campus.
This is a “Seniors Only” event and is open to anyone in the community that is 60 years of age or over.
Carla Crocker and Roxie Emahiser are co-chair for the event.
The 42 apartment Westhaven complex opened in September 1986, with the Senior Center facility attached in 1989. Westhaven is owned by Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio and managed by National Church Residences. Lucy Copes is the manager of Westhaven.
The Senior Center is operated by Wood County Committee on Aging, with Rita Betz serving as site manager.
