5th grade Social Studies students participated in a crayon sorting activity to help them understand division of labor.
Assembling boxes of crayons went from taking 24 minutes 07 seconds to 6 min. 14 seconds. They saw the benefits of dividing up the work tasks. Try this at home with chores!
In their ECON unit they are learning about concepts such as specialization, trade, division of labor, interdependence, and productive resources.
