FIREWORKS Reminder from NBPD

The North Baltimore Village Council and Police Department are reminding Village residents that it is illegal to discharge, ignite or explode any fireworks in the village limits.  Village Ordinance 1519.04 prohibits possession and the discharging of fireworks.
Also bear in mind, that store bought (legal) fireworks, such as sparklers, are a potential fire hazard.  Due to the dry summer (even tho’ it rained some lately) we recommend that citizens take steps to prevent fires.  Please ensure that all children are supervised and a fire extinguisher or water source is close and available.
We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday.  If you have any questions comments or concerns please feel free to call the police department at 419-257-2181.

  1. Ha, what’s the point of posting this? People are already setting fireworks off and the cops don’t care at all depending on who you are. Might as well get rid of the ordinance, or are you guys just going to fine the citizens that you don’t like? Pathetic.

  2. Wonder if a citizen has to call and complain first? There are four patrol cars, wonder if all were patrolling NB and tickets being written for violation, prob would cover cost of officers.
