Franklin D. “Frank” Blake, 86, of Findlay and formerly of North Baltimore,
passed away at 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. He was born on December 22, 1932, in North Baltimore, OH to the late James and Pearl (Bland) Blake. He married Carol “Joan” (Lawson) Blake on March 25, 1951, and she preceded him in death on September 29, 2010.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Debra (Greg) Eier of Lima; his
granddaughters: Jennifer (Ken) Goldberg, Kelly Reed, and Jessica (Bryan)
Palmer; and his great-grandchildren: Jonah, Ella, and Nathaniel Goldberg.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: John, Ernest, Woodrow, Carl,
Bill, Tuffy, Paul, and Robert Blake; and his sisters: Evelyn Basil, Edith
Dennis, Ruth Gonyer, and Betty Courtney.
Frank retired from National Lime and Stone as a Computer Programmer. He
was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633 in North Baltimore.
Frank enjoyed coffee sessions with his brothers, Wii bowling, and rooting
for the Buckeyes and Lions. He treasured time with his family, especially
over an order of New Riegel ribs.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December
8, 2019 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be held for 1 hour (1:00-2:00pm) prior to the service. Deacon Mike Eier will be officiating. Frank will be buried with his wife in New
