BOWLING GREEN, OHIO – The annual Power of Yesteryear Farm & Tractor Show will take place on the grounds of the Wood County Historical Center on Saturday, June 9 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday, June 10 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This is a free family event full of farm demonstrations and activities.

The Power of Yesteryear Tractor Club will host the tractor display and corn-shelling demonstrations. For young farm enthusiasts, a kiddie pedal pull will take place each day and registrations is available at the event. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

In the Boom Town area of the Historical Center, visitors can witness a steam-powered drilling rig and tour the Power House at the Oil Derrick. Blacksmiths will demonstrate the lost arts. The Log Cabin will feature fiber arts demonstrations such as spinning, weaving, and chair caning.

On Saturday, visitors can also interact with costumed interpreters on the museum’s front lawn at a 1920s leisure-time camping demonstration.  A 1931 Model A Ford Woodie Station Wagon will also be on display, courtesy of Snook’s Dream Car Museum.

The Leisure-time demonstrations are part of the Historical Museum’s feature exhibit, “The Return to Normalcy: A Life of Leisure in Wood County,” which highlights fun times between the World Wars. This exhibit is a partner project with the museum’s WWI exhibit, “Over There! Send Word, the Wood County Boys Are Coming.” The Museum is open 1:00 – 4:00 PM both days with free admission.
