The Ohio State Department of Rehabilitation & Correction recently conducted the 2019 Annual Jail Inspection of the Wood County Jail.
As Wood County operates a full service jail; the inspection reviewed standards focused many areas – inclusive of Reception & Release, Classification , Security, Sanitation and Environmental conditions, Food service, Staffing and Training.
The inspection viewed a total of 116 standards and found that Wood County was in compliance with every one of those standards with zero deficiencies noted.
State Jail Inspector Patrick Kennedy stated “Your continuing effort to maintain compliance with the minimum standards for jails in Ohio is to be commended.” Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said “Each year our annual jail inspection reveals the tremendous job our deputies do every day. I am very proud of their hard work to maintain a safe, clean , secure facility for inmates in Wood County.”
