FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT DIALYSIS PROGRAM

FOSTORIA, OHIO– The Friends of ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Foundation announce plans to host a two-day signature fundraising event – Cookin’ for a Cause and Golf Benefit on September 2 and 3. The events will benefit local patients through the expansion and relocation of the ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Dialysis Center on the hospital campus.

“The new center will not only improve privacy, comfort and access for patients, but yet again allow additional patients to receive dialysis in Fostoria by our experienced dialysis team,” said Amy Preble, RN, director of dialysis and emergency services, ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. “The anticipated need for this life-saving treatment continues to grow.”

The 2015 Cookin’ for a Cause and Golf Benefit planning committee, made up of over 30 community leaders and hospital staff, is chaired by Ford Mennel, Renee Smith and Jill Pixley.

“The goal is to host two first-class events that promote community participation and support our hospital’s mission to improve the health and well-being of local patients and families,” said Jill Pixley, golf chair. Dinner co-chairs, Ford Mennel and Renee Smith, added “Community support helps ensure local patients and families receive top-notch care in easily-accessible, state-of-the-art facilities right here in Fostoria.”

The events will kick off on Wednesday, September 2 with the new Cookin’ for a Cause grazing dinner and auction. The event will feature local, celebrity chefs, live and silent auctions and will be held at Meadowbrook Ballroom in Bascom. The following day, Thursday, September 3, the Golf Benefit, a traditional golf scramble, will be held at Loudon Meadows Golf Course in Fostoria. Dinner tickets are $50 each. Reserved dinner tables are available as well as individual and golf team opportunities.
