Museum Education Programs Coordinator Mike McMaster and BGSU Professor emeritus Geoff Howes invite the Northwest Ohio community to celebrate German-American heritage by participating in a story-slam that, for the fourth year in a row, allows members of the audience to tell their stories about German-American heritage or encounters between American and German-speaking cultures. Possible topics: food, family, friends, heritage, cultural differences and interactions.
As in past years, participants will be given 5 minutes to share a story about German-American cultural contacts, heritage, or travel. Prizes will be given to the top three stories as chosen by the audience. Fellowship and snacks after the program. This event is free and open to the public.
