Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist
Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will celebrate Transfiguration Sunday on February 18, 2015 with worship beginning at 10:15 am. Rev. Susan Kronbach will preach from the story of Jesus and his disciples on the mountaintop, from the gospel of Mark, chapter 9, and invite us to remember our encounters with the holiness of God! Sunday School for youth and adults is held at 9:15 am; Sunday School for children is held during worship after the children’s moments. Please plan to join us!
Other activities at the church this week include worship at the Briar Hill Health Campus on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 2:00 pm; choir practice this Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm; and the Women of Faith meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 9:00 am at the Iron Skillet Restaurant.
This week also marks the beginning of the season of Lent – the six weeks leading up to Easter. Plan to join us for Ash Wednesday worship on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 7:00 pm; and then mark your calendars for the weekly Lenten Lunches at the various churches in town. This week’s lunch – on Feb. 18 – is at Holy Family Catholic Church at noon. See you there!!
