Church news for Sunday, December 21, 2014
Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent on December 21, with worship beginning at 10:15 am. Rev. Susan Kronbach will preach “Watching and Waiting … in Love” from Joseph’s story in Matthew 1, and we will continue with the lighting of our Advent Wreath during worship. Sunday School for youth and adults is held at 9:15 am; Sunday School for children is held during worship after the children’s moments. Please plan to join us!
In the afternoon, the Youth Fellowship is planning to go Christmas caroling, and enjoy a Christmas movie, as well as a drive to see the lights of Christmas!
Please make plans to join us for our Christmas Eve worship as well. We will have two services on Christmas Eve, December 24. The early service will be at 4:00 pm, and is a casual service of lessons and carols, as we enjoy the Christmas story in word and music. The later service will be at 7:30 pm, and is our traditional service, which includes a Christmas Cantata presented by the choir. Both services will end with the traditional congregational candle-lighting and the singing of “Silent Night.” We hope you will come and worship with us!
