North Baltimore, Ohio (July 10, 2015) – Habitat for Humanity of Wood County will begin construction of its 33rd home in Wood County after a Ground Blessing ceremony at 8 am on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 805 George St., North Baltimore, Ohio. Future homeowners, Robin and Charles Scott are truly appreciative to be partnering with Habitat to help them live in a new, safe, decent and affordable home and remain in a community with many family ties.
Home construction is being made possible through corporate sponsorships, including a major sponsorship from Wells Fargo and corporate sponsorship from CSX. Following excavation, work will continue through the summer with volunteer workers, led by Lead Builders, Jason Heintschel, Dave Benedict, Chris Delph and the Habitat Build Committee. The Scott’s have already gained sweat equity hours by attending homeowner education classes along with hours earned keeping the grass mowed on their future property. They also look forward to helping on the build site. Together, they will complete over 500 hours of sweat equity as required prior to purchasing the home. For questions on volunteering on the build site, please call the Habitat office at 419-353-5430.
