At 6:02 AM, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal crash on S. Dixie Highway north of Cygnet Road.
Twenty-three-year-old Dishawn Arnett, of Fostoria, was driving north on Dixie Highway in a GMC pickup when a southbound Chevrolet pick–up, driven by 58–year–old Kurt Mazey of Weston, went left of center and struck him head-on. Mr. Mazey was pronounced deceased at the scene while Mr. Arnett was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by North Baltimore EMS with non–life–threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
