At around 3:00 pm Friday, Feb. 12, the National Weather Service advised that bands of intense and sometimes heavy snow showers has developed along and ahead of the arctic cold front moving through the area later tonight.
With these bands of snow and with the breezy conditions, visibility could be reduced at times.
In some areas, snow could accumulate in 1″-2″ fairly quickly.
If you have to drive tonight, use extreme caution and allow for extra time in your travels.
Dangerous arctic air will move into the area tonight through Sunday.
A Wind Chill ADVISORY will be in effect tonight from 10:00pm to 10:00am on Saturday. Another Advisory will be issued for Saturday night.
