Position Description
The purpose of the Highway Maintenance position is to construct, improve, maintain, repair, and clean Township roads.
The full performance level of class works under the direction of the Township Trustees and requires considerable knowledge of highway maintenance and heavy equipment operations necessary to perform general highway maintenance. Operation of heavy motorized equipment used to construct, improve, maintain, repair, and clean highways and/or right-of-ways is a requirement of this position.
This position shall be subject to mandatory overtime or shift work and is subject to random drug and alcohol screenings. This position is designated as essential and, as such, all duties associated with this job are required during emergency situations which may include but are not limited to inclement weather, disaster response, and emergency operations. Class “B” CDL is required, Class “A” preferred.
