The second annual Heritage Farm Fest is Saturday, June 17th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Carter Historic Farm, 1930s Living History Museum, located at 18331 Carter Road, Bowling Green
The event parking, entrance and activities are all free and themed to life on a farm in the 1930s. Enjoy wagon rides, demonstrations, old-fashioned ice cream, cobbler in the fire, live music, farm animals, a story walk, a cross-cut saw competition, nature walks, pie-eating contest, games, BBQ and the grand re-opening of historic Zimmerman one-room schoolhouse.
The Zimmerman schoolhouse building was in need of a new foundation and the Wood County Park District preserved the building while making it more accessible by moving it under a 1/16 of a mile on the Carter Farm property and building a new foundation.
The ribbon-cutting for the old school in a new location, will be 3:00 pm during the Heritage Farm Fest.
The Wood County Park District is proud to preserve and highlight our natural and cultural resources for all Wood County citizens to enjoy.
