PROMEDICA FOSTORIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
FOSTORIA, OHIO, March 17, 2015 – Fostoria area students pursuing degrees in health care are encouraged to apply for scholarships through the ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Foundation. Scholarships in amounts from $1,000 to $1,500 will be awarded for the 2015 – 2016 academic year.
The Foundation administers four scholarship funds. Established by former Fostoria physicians, nurses and their families in support of health care career education, the funds include: The J.L. Murphy Memorial Fund; J.A. Murray Memorial Scholarship Fund; G.H.W. Bruggemann Memorial Scholarship; and new in 2015 is the Ruth Nichols Sollars Nursing Education Fund. Eligibility requirements are specific to each fund based on the establishing donor’s request, and are listed on the application.
Scholarship applications are available online at www.promedica.org/givefostoria and at the ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital welcome desk/switchboard inside entrance 1. Completed applications will be accepted April 1 – 27, 2015. Past applicants may reapply. The scholarship awards will be announced in May.
In 2014, 10 local students were collectively awarded $11,000 in scholarships from the Foundation.
