April, 2015, Bowling Green, OH – In observance of Autism Awareness Month Wood County Hospital invites the community to attend Autism 101, a free community training session, on April 18 at the Wood County District Public Library.
The training session will cover prevalence of autism in all stages of life, causes and characteristics of autism spectrum disorders. To help individuals with autism, as well as their family and friends, evidence-based strategies to help cope with the disorder will also be discussed.
Through this training session our hope is to bring the community together to embrace everyone’s differences through understanding and education on the topic of Autism.
Autism 101 will be hosted from 2-4 p.m. and is open to the general public with no pre-registration required.
