February 4, 2015, Bowling Green, OH – Wood County Hospital invites local community members to attend the health program, “Understanding Your Diabetic Medications and Recent Advancements,” from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 12.
Hannah David, RPh, PharmD of WCH will be presenting on new advancements in treating diabetes, including Afrezza, a new inhaled insulin, and SGHLT-2 inhibitors, such as Farxiga and Invokana. The use of oral and injectable diabetic medications will also be reviewed; how they work, how to appropriately take them and any necessary precautions will be covered.
