Iona Crouse Cameron, 79, NB

Iona Crouse Cameron, 79, of North Baltimore, and under the care of Ohio
Living Hospice, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019, at
the Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore.

She was born in her grandmother’s house in North Baltimore on January 6, 1940, to the late William and Lorelia “Shorty” (Bechtel) Crouse.  Iona married her high school sweetheart, Malcom Cameron shortly after graduation from North Baltimore High School, and he preceded her in death.

Iona is survived by her beloved children: Ivona “Ivy” (Mark) DeWulf of
North Baltimore, Malcom Lynn Cameron of North Baltimore, William Lee
(Trisha) Cameron of North Baltimore, Robert Lynn (Allison) Cameron of
Owensboro, KY, Ronda (Brent Palmer) Cameron of North Baltimore and Chris (Carmella Roberts) Cameron of Findlay; her life partner, Dan Coykendall’s children: Natalie Jordan, Holly Slater and Jimmy Coykendall; her sister, Carol (Don) Smith; her lifetime special friend, Evonne Vanaman McConnell; her 12 grandchildren and 16 greast-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Sherry Crouse of North Baltimore.

Iona’s focus in life was to raise her 6 children and see that they had
happy and prosperous lives.  To know Iona was to love her and she never
met a person she didn’t try to help.  She enjoyed all Ohio State Buckeye
sports teams.

She was also preceded in death by her brother and protector, Bill Crouse;
and her life partner, Dan Coykendall.

Iona attended Basic Truth Church and enjoyed the music of Pastor Jim Baney to the fullest.  The family would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care given to Iona by Briar Hill Health Campus, Ohio Living Hospice and Dr. Stephen Mills.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14,
2019, in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, with Pastor Jim Baney officiating. There will be a  fellowship lunch following the private service at the FOE Eagles. It will start at 12 noon and is open to the family and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
