Photo Exhibit Opens at the Wood County Historical Museum
The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to partner with the Sentinel-Tribune to open a new photography exhibit entitled J.D. Pooley: A 20-year Retrospect of Wood County. The exhibit opens with a gallery reception on Friday, June 24, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in the Museum’s new gallery space.
J.D Pooley began shooting photography for the Sentinel-Tribune part-time in 1992 while still in high school. His two-decade span of work captures memorable moments in our history and can be seen in a new exhibit at the Wood County Historical Museum. The exhibit will be open to the public beginning the evening of June 24 through December 17, 2016. The museum, at 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green, is open for self-guided tours Monday – Friday 10 AM – 4 PM and weekends from 1-4 PM, and is closed on select public holidays.
Each piece in the exhibit is available for purchase, and is a unique print from a Sentinel-Tribune original negative or digital file and will not be reproduced nor can be reproduced without permission from the Sentinel-Tribune. 80% of proceeds raised from the sale of these prints will be donated to the BG Schools Foundation, with the remaining 20% donated to the Wood County Historical Society Accessibility Project. This exhibit is made possible with support from the Sentinel-Tribune and the BGSU University Libraries, with printing and framing support courtesy of Ben Franklin and West Coast Imaging. Food for the reception will be provided by Amish Deli, Bowling Green.
RSVPs for the opening reception are appreciated by calling the Museum at 419-352-0967.
