James Robert Harris Jr., 85, son of Oliver and Ruby (Conrad) Harris, of North Baltimore, died, Friday, July 10,2015. He was at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He received his GED from North Baltimore High School while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a WWII veteran serving on the USS Toledo and stationed in Bainbridge, Maryland.
He was a former member of the AF&Am Masonic Legion Post 561, and a lifetime member of the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539, Fraternal Order of Eagles, North Baltimore Aerie 2633, a member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and driving his lawn mower.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joel Lynn Harris, sisters, Betty Jane Hartranft, Dorothy Jean Stewart and brother, Oliver George Harris.
There will be no service.
Memorials may be made to the Wood County Humane Society.
