Jesusita “Susy-Q” Sieber, 62, of McComb, died at 4:33 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Toledo Hospital.
She was born on October 1, 1952, in Fostoria to the late Pedro and Simona (Sanchez) Cortez. She married Burton Sieber on November 13, 1971, and he preceded her in death in May of 1993. Susy is survived by her fiancé, Bill Baker of Fremont; daughter, Tracy (Michael) Harmon of Custar; her grandchildren: Jordan Smith and Austin Harmon; her brothers: Tony (Yolanda) Cortez of Hoytville, Felix (Teresa) Cortez of Findlay, Arnulfo (Carolyn) Cortez of North Baltimore and Mario (Jackie) Cortez of Hoytville; her sisters: Mary (Hieneo) Caseres of Sun City, FL, Rosie (Ed) Torres of Napoleon, Pat (Bob) Dickes of North Baltimore, Vi (Alex) Martinez of Rudolph, Margarita Cortez of Hoytville, Connie (John) Fackler of Deshler, Christina Herrera of Immokalee, FL and Manuela Alva of Cygnet; and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers: Alfonso Cortez and Arturo Cortez; and her sisters: Josephina Cortez and Alecia Cortez. Susy had worked for Sherwin Williams in Deshler.
She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore. She was an avid fan of the McComb Panthers, Ohio State Buckeyes, New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins. Susy enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions, dancing and playing cards, but her greatest love in life was her family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Father Arthur J. Niewiadomski officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery, McComb.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
