Junior High Football vs. Arcadia Another 20 – 20 tie

by Coach Hank Matthes

The second game of the North Baltimore Junior High School Football season featured a matchup against the Arcadia Redskins.

Though the tigers started slow, the second half featured touchdowns by Gaige Dewitt and Braxton Althauser due to the solid play of the offensive line, including Caleb Kelly in his first start at center.

The Tigers defense held The Redskins to only one score in the second half, due in part to strong performances from Defensive End Kyle Green, Middle Linebacker Payton Carlton, as well as Defensive Backs Owen Clark and Rowan Tackett-Spangenberg, who had a game-saving interception in the 4th quarter.

The game ended in a 20-20 tie for the second week in a row, due to a great effort by the entire team to battle back from a 14-point deficit.

Next week the Tigers play the Findlay Crusaders at Ben Roethlisberger field in Findlay.
