Kevin Patrick Welch, of North Baltimore, Ohio, died October 15, 2019.
Kevin was born January 24, 1949 to the late John D. and Mamie (Prowant)
Welch, the youngest of 13 children, 3 of whom survive. On June 23, 1973,
he married Linda Crouse of North Baltimore, and she survives.
He is survived by three children: daughters, Tara (Gregory Tinkler) Smith
of Mogadore, Ohio, and Jennifer (Brian) Vanlerberg of North Baltimore,
Ohio; and son, Shawn (Sarah) Welch of Upper Arlington, Ohio.
He was a 1967 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School, and received an
associate’s degree in architecture from Owen’s Community College. He
retired in 2010 after 41 years working at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company
as a tire builder, and serving as Union President, among other offices.
He leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Aurora and Zavier Smith and William
Tinkler of Mogadore; Jesse, Noah, and Levi Vanlerberg of North Baltimore;
and Huxley and Eleanora Welch of Upper Arlington.
Kevin enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, reading, refinishing furniture, and
spending time with his grandchildren. He mowed lawns to the consternation
of North Baltimore village administration. He never drove through Kenton
without getting a pie.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at
COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay, and from 10:00-11:00am at the
funeral home on Friday October 18th, with the funeral service following
immediately after at 11:00am. Donations in memoriam can be made to the
