Kimberly A. Conkle, 52, of rural Van Buren passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence. She is now walking with joy with Christ.
She was born on May 28, 1961, to Cloyce and Janet (Sheets) Baker in Findlay. She married Matthew J. Conkle on June 28, 1986, and he survives.
Kim is also survived by her parents of Van Buren; three daughters: Ashley M. Conkle of Findlay, Emily P. (Luke) Bowser of Benton Ridge, and Michaela K. Conkle of Findlay; brothers: Jeff (Annette Ryan) Baker of Troy and Doug (Mindy) Baker of Noblesville, IN; sister, Terri (Ed, Jr.) Adams of Cincinnati; granddaughter, Brielle Conkle and numerous nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Elementary Education. Kimberly was a kindergarten teacher at Powell Elementary School in North Baltimore for 28 years and for two years at Old Fort Schools. She also helped run Safety Village at Powell for many years. Kim had a true passion and love for kids. Kim was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school and nursery school. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Maranatha Bible Church, 10965 Ohio 613, Van Buren, OH 45889 and from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 with Pastors Dave Melton and Doug Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Allen Twp., Hancock County.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maranatha Bible Church Building Fund.
