Klassy Kids 4H club has begun holding their 2018 club meetings. Our club is made up of 14 club members, 4 cloverbuds and advisors Lindsay Ziegler, Laura Westate and Becky Lucas. Club officers for 2018 are Lilly Westgate (president), Joslynn Sterling (Vice President), Emma Cotterman (Secretary), Garrett Ziegler (news reporter), and Maddy Westgate (Treasure).
In addition to our regular business meetings some of the things we plan on doing as a club include touring North Baltimore Custom Cuts, helping North Baltimore Garden Club by planting flowers and cleaning up garden beds throughout the community, and participating in the paint a plow program; a program designed to make the public more aware of safe driving during the winter season and to promote awareness through the Wood County Garage and Engineer’s Office.
Klassy Kids will be holding a bake sale on April 7th from 9a-2p at Family Farm and Home in Bowling Green.
Klassy Kids would like to thank St. Luke’s Lutheran Church for allowing us to use their building to hold our meetings.
The club would like to congratulate a couple of their members on their recent success. Club member, Lilly Westgate has been chosen to attend citizenship Washington Focus, a program where she and other chosen 4H members will visit Washington D.C. and learn how to be citizen leaders and make a difference in their community. Congratulations, Lilly!
Club member, Garrett Ziegler is also a member of the Wood County Livestock Judging Team. The team recently attended the Ohio Beef Expo and participated in a judging contest. Garrett’s team placed 3rd overall in the junior division. Congratulations, Garrett!
